Mundane

This is the page where culture and general information about muggles in "When the Wind Blows" will go. As a collaboratively-built world, we expect this information to develop in play and will add to this as it is defined.

Until there is a better term for it, muggles are referred to in "When the Wind Blows" as mundane. Muggle is considered to be a derogatory term by most mundanes, along with other phrases such as "mudblood."

The attitudes of mundanes towards wizards vary greatly. Many of the mundane of Inner York feel some resentment towards those who live outside the walls, whether they be magical or mundane. There are several who came specifically to the city, believing that the wizards would protect them. There are others who hate and despise wizards. There is no one consistent "mundane" attitude and indeed, if York is to survive, there does have to be a level of cooperation.
