I'm missing you to death but to each his own.
Hey, hey, we're not far from home.
I've got my pride, and I'll let you sleep tonight.
Hey, hey, now we're almost home.
I'm missing you to death, missing you to death.
Hey, hey we're not far from home.
I'll swallow my pride and push back my seat tonight.

Home Life

Mother: Molly Prewett Weasley

Father: Arthur Weasley

Siblings: Charles, Percy, Frederick (deceased), George, Ronald (deceased), and Ginevra.

Relationships with each: (TBD)

Home: A reasonable attempt at civilisation. Though Bill lives in Outer York, and will not live in the city any longer, he's taken a small cottage in what used to be a near suburb of the city proper.

Finances: Depends on your perspective. Bill doesn't spend much money, particularly not now - he's able to work the barter system fairly easily - but he used to have a desire for money qua money. The desire has weakened in recent years, though it's still present; the main difference with his life now is that he's less focused on getting it. Between Greyback's attack and the outbreak of wild magic, being alive has become far more important to him than money.

Personal Life

Personality: Bill should be considered in light of his status in the Weasley family. He is the oldest child, and as such was for two years, until Charlie's birth, the only child. It took a long time, well into adolescence, for Bill to truly end his resentment against Charlie for taking his parents away from him and making them the parents of two children. However, he did manage to pretend, and believe on a conscious level, that he did not hold that against Charlie for a long time before Bill truly forgave him.

Rather than acting like a stereotypical oldest child, however, Bill became very much a rebel and a showoff, at least by comparison to Charlie and Percy. He has a strong risk-taking component to his personality, and seeks attention by seeking danger. It is much of the reason that he chose to go into cursebreaking; the intellectual rigor and bravery that allowed him to become Head Boy, however, do not count for nothing, and Bill enjoys the intellectual work that goes into cursebreaking.

Marital status: Presumed widowed.

Strengths: Calm in times of crisis, cursebreaking, inventive thinking, thinking "outside the box", strategy (as Ron was, Bill is good at chess, though Ron was better), loyal to a fault, intelligent, able to handle setbacks (including extreme ones), wide range of academic knowledge, wide range of field knowledge.

Weaknesses: Vulnerable to silver (not fatally, but it's painful), very gregarious, to the point of appearing to be unable to be serious, supportive of friends regardless of their actions, extremely intelligent, sense of isolation, sense of poverty, defensive if provoked, need for pack, need for space, need to hunt.

Boggart:

Patronus: An Occamy

Mirror of Erised: His family, minus Charlie and Percy

Amortentia Potion: Long grass in summer, ozone, Benromach 20 year old single malt

Aesthetics

Appearance: Blue eyes and red hair and freckles are the markings of the Weasley family. Bill, at 6’4” and 15 stone is very tall and gangling, one of the lanky Weasleys. He wears his hair long, and has retained the fang earring. He has some facial and body scarring from the attack by Fenrir Greyback, and does not bother to disguise it. The encounter with Wild Magic left him with knees and elbows that don't quite flex far enough forward and a bit too far backwards and a spine that hangs together loosely; the magic tried to turn him into a wolf physically, reversing the direction of the joints and making his spine more flexible than any human's.

His dress continues to be rather outrageous to wizards and appealing to Muggles, though it has picked up a distinct component of refugee clothing: mismatched and repaired. Bill dresses for utility rather than for fashion, and tends to wear durable clothing that, nonetheless, looks like it's been heavily abused, in large part because it has been. Fashion takes a far-distant third to clothing that is fairly clean and clothing that doesn't actively clash too badly.

Height: 6'4"

Hair: Dark Auburn

Eyes: Blue

History

The oldest of seven children, Bill set the bar high for the rest of his family. Prefect and Head Boy were nothing, so he added achieving a NEWT in every subject, and went on to work for Gringott's. Granted, it was somewhat less respectable than a job in the main office, since he became a cursebreaker primarily working for the bank, but still - it was Gringott's. He chose to end that profession only with the open outbreak of the war, at the end of Harry Potter's fourth year, in favour of a desk job at Gringott's so he could easier liase with the Order of the Phoenix. It is not difficult to see that a desk job in time of war is a more dangerous posting than a cursebreaking job far from the action.

He saw himself, at least in the years before the war, while Ron and Ginny were still at school, as being a role model for his younger siblings, showing them that they did not have to do everything that Molly (and to some extent Arthur) wished them to do. He was aware of their perception that he was cool, and chose to exaggerate it even more, to subtly show them that there was an alternative to doing only what their parents wanted. Or possibly - sometimes the ideas get mixed up in his head - it was a statement that it was all right to do what their parents wanted for now, and to take one's chance later.

But ever in the back of his mind lurked the resentments that are the familiar mantra of the Weasleys. He resented their poverty, something that was only exacerbated with each succeeding child. He was well aware of the cult of masculinity that sprang up in the family; each of the male children had to oppose their brothers in some way, had to try to get attention from their parents and from others away from his siblings. Bill, being the oldest, was in a poor position to take on that challenge, since it came seemingly out of nowhere. Cursebreaking and rebelling were as much compensatory actions against his brothers as rebellion against his parents, another aspect of setting the bar deliberately high so he could watch them all fail - and none so much as Charlie.

Consequently, Fenrir Greyback's attack on Bill caused changes that found a receptive mind. The werewolf imperatives, though he did not ever transform, were still there, though perhaps the voices were muted, compared to what Greyback and Lupin heard. Or perhaps they were not truly werewolf imperatives, but were the taint of the creature that made him; it would be hard to argue that there is anything positive about Greyback. Whichever the case may be, something in Bill's personality responded to the werewolf.

On the surface, he was scarred, and developed a craving for raw meat. Underneath that, though, something he tried not to admit to himself, let alone his wife or his family, was the desire to run and chase and to hunt his meals.

And underneath that, the desire to harm found a home.

When the charm bomb was set off, Bill was in the north, trying to find out more about Greyback - now long dead - from the werewolves who still live in Yorkshire, but it was not a particularly successful trip, in part because they knew that he was one of them, but was not, all the same. He returned to Ottery St. Catchpole a few days after the charm bomb went off, before anyone realised how bad it was going to be.

By the time he got back to York, he had a better idea of that.

His original idea was to return to the Dales, to wait it out in one of the most isolated places he could find, but wild magic near Harrogate convinced him of the folly of that idea. It took a look at what he was, and decided what he should be, and started to change him.

He was lucky to get out with only permanent damage to his knees and spine where the magic had tried to make him physically more wolflike.

Once back in York, Bill took up residence in the city at first, but he moved to Outer York when he started to realise how people were being excluded from Inner York. All other things aside, he would be around his own if he was in outer York, and it wasn't as though the address mattered. His job had become supremely pointless by that time anyway, so he took on the role of an odd-job man, helping people as they needed, preferring barter to cash. He still does that, everything from being extra muscle to finding the missing, and anything in between.
